Tavasszal, mikor a barátnőm negyvenes albumát készítettem, párhuzamosan egy másik albumon is dolgoztam. Történetesen szintén neki, de erre külön megrendelés érkezett a férjétől.
In spring, when I was working on my friend’s album for her 40th birthday I was working parallel on an other album. This album was also for her, but it was ordered by her husband.
Jaj, ha egyszer én is kaphatnék egy ilyet! Nem a nagyképűség beszél belőlem, sokkal inkább az, hogy elirigyeltem az ötletet! Ez ugyanis nem a megszokott, képekkel teli album, hanem olyan, amiben kizárólag levelek vannak. Sok-sok, hosszú, kézzel írott, a világ távolabbi helyeiről is feladott levél. Apától, anyától, gyerekektől, testvértől, nagy családtól, barátoktól… Csaknem negyven darab.
Oh, I wish I could also get such an album someday! I say this not because I am bumptious, but I just envy this idea! For this is not a common album with photos but in this album there are only mails. Many-many, long, handwritten letters, even from the end of the world. From father, mother, children, brothers and sisters, big family, friends… Almost 40 pieces.
Elsőként az album borítóját készítettem el. Akkoriban dobta be asz NCsD az óriás virágokat, amiből többek között ezt a bazsarózsát is megrendeltem. Az elejére került még leveles chipboard és néhány különböző méretű tag -az egyik shaker boxnak varrva. A belső oldalakhoz a Pantonban vágattam zöld lapokat, a zsebekhez pedig fehér kartonból és pausz papírból. Ez utóbbiakat pecsételéssel és eltérő mintás papír csíkokkal díszítettem, majd körbe varrtam őket, és csak ezek után ragasztottam az oldalra.
First I made the cover of the album. That time were the huge flowers put on the market by NőiCsizma Design, so I have bought this peony among lot of others. I put a leaf chipboard and some tags in different sizes – I sewed one of them as a shaker box. For the inside pages I let cut some green paper in Panton shop, some white cardstock and vellum for the pockets. I have decorated the pockets with stamping and different patterned paper stripes, I sewed them around and just after that have I glued them to the pages.
A férj óriási izgalommal hozta hétről-hétre az újabb leveleket. Megható volt látni, hogy milyen sokan szerettek volna pár jó szóval hozzájárulni a kerek évfordulóhoz! … szóval, aki hallja, adja át az illetékesnek-bárki is legyen az: én is szeretnék leveles albumot jövőre ;)!
The husband brought the mails week by week very excited. I was touched to see how many people wanted to send some good words to this round anniversary! … Well, you who have read this please tell the competent person – any one may it be: I would also love to get an album with full of letters next year! 😉
